Come to Taybeh...

" Jesus (...) went unto a country near to the wilderness, into a city called Ephraim,
and there stayed with his disciples." (John 11,54)

This verse makes us understand that Jesus had friends here, that he was warmly welcomed and that he went to Taybeh on a retreat, therefore TAYBEH's vocation is all set.

Below, you will find all the useful information if you wish to come to Taybeh:

THE CHARLES DE FOUCAULD PILGRIM CENTER

Taybeh owes its Pilgrim's hostel to the
French Lieutenancy of the Knights of the Holy Sepulcher.

One of its former Lieutenants, général de Chizelles, informed of the desire of many pilgrims to come and stay in Taybeh, decided to finance the construction of the hostel.

Inaugurated on April 17th 1986, by the general himself, it was blessed by the Patriarch.

For a meal, a night...
...a retreat... a time of desert...
...an encounter with the local church.
The dining room can welcome up to one hundred people.

40 beds in a total of 17 rooms
(simple, double and triple)
all equiped with bathrooms

The French sisters of "La Sainte Croix de Jérusalem" are responsible for pilgrim's hostel.
This reponsibility was given to them by the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem in 1998.
(know more about the congregation...)
